First place for Tarantella in Class ORC Club 2 and over all victory in ORC Club-classes! Fortina Fun took the second place, and Minnamari the third.

We hoped for a strong south westernly wind, and we got it! Real "Tarantella weather".

The race started with a reach out to Helsinki Lighthouse, from where we continued beating to Tallinna Madal. We rounded both marks as first boat in our class. The wind strength was mostly 10 - 12 m/s, which was excellent for our new Genua 3  in Carbo Cuben (Thanks to WB-Sails!) and one reef in the mainsail. We made good speed in the rough sea, and headed higher than anybody else. Tacking angles were  about 80 degrees, which is excellent in these conditions. We rounded Tallinna Madal at 00:02 hours, 28 min ahead of Fortina Fun, which is about 2 times the handicap. We crossed the finishing line at 03:15 with Ramdata as second 22 minutes after us. FortinaFun finished at 04:01, about 45 minutes after us.

Our new helmsman Peter Lindroos did an excellent job steering all the way.

This was our fourth victory this year. Results here
