We were not very successful in the WB-Race on 1.6.2008, and finished fourth among 13 boats in class ORC3. The race consisted of three short windward/leeward races.

Astraia was the winner, with FinnFUN, Tom Finell's new boat , a Fingulf 33 as second. Last year's winner in class IMS2 Xilia finished third. Full results here . Pictures in our gallery

The new genua and floater performed satisfactorily, but we partly missed our chances because of lousy starts. The light winds of 4 - 8 knots  were not favourable to us, and we suffered from other bigger boats taking the wind. As the leg distance was only 0,7 nm, it was not easy to find free winds among the 39 boats on the course.

Due to change of the GPH-limit for ORC 3 to 650,1, all X 332 and EF 34 boats have moved to our class. The competition will be very tough. We are now among the smaller boats in our class. The role has changed.

Our next challenge is Volvo Suursaari Race with start on 6.6. A record number of boats in ORC 3 have signed up. We are alltogether 18 boats on the starting line.
